Happy New Year! It is a time of endings and beginnings. At the start of every new year many of us commence with resolve to make long lasting changes; to get healthy, live our lives more fully and to fulfill some of our goals and dreams.
All of this takes energy, focus, motivation and most importantly support. So, what happens to our resolve.
January starts off well. We are at the gym regularly, we are cutting back on junk foods, sugar and the like. Then February comes around, and winter is weighing on us, and resolve gives way to the demands and stresses of life. The motivation of January 1 wanes and some of those efforts wane as well.
Change is not a straight line. Even in these uncertain times, we are certain of one thing only, change.
So how do we embrace change and even our waning enthusiasm for making our own personal changes? We regroup, reconnect and reinvigorate.
