People walk through my door for acpuncture treatment everyday searching for a solution to the pain they have. Some people want to avoid surgery, medication, reduce their medication or, try a more natural approach. Some pain is chronic and has plagued a person for years. Some pain occurs due to a motor vehicle accident, sports injury, or from an activity of everyday. But, most everyone has heard from someone that, ” maybe acupuncture can help,” and it does.  In my many years of experience I find acupuncture to be a crucial part of a comprehensive treatment plan to reduce and ease pain. This recent article in US News and World Reports chronicles analysis from 29 studies involving over 18,000 patients. The study appeared online September 10th in the Archives of Internal Medicine.

Acupuncture is now utilized in many hospital pain centers, integrative medical practices as well as dedicated acupuncture and Chinese Medicine clinics throughout the United States.
